Age eight and above seems right to me. Our oldest daughter got her ears pierced at 8.5, but got a terrible infection from supposedly good earrings and now the holes are closed. First off, your little boy is ADORABLE. Second, your writing is fun to read but also very insightful and thoughtful. My little guy is almost eleven months old and I just love hearing that I am not alone in all the new mommy angst. It's a totally different world and it does seem so hard to become part of it. To top it all off, we moved recently and my baby and I are once again an island unto ourselves. And my husband wonders why I'm going slowly insane... Anyway, here's to finding like-minded mommies and playgroups and sanity!
