I've never had parents completely ignore their kids like that so not sure what I would have done, but maybe just tried to talk to the kids and say, "Can my son join you? He'd like to play too. Maybe we can all share." But loud enough for the parents to hopefully get a clue and intervene. Or maybe I'd just leave. None of these choices is fair to you. I’ve never had parents completely ignore their kids like that so not sure what I would have done, but maybe just tried to talk to the kids and say, “Can my son join you? He’d like to play too. Maybe we can all share.” But loud enough for the parents to hopefully get a clue and intervene. Or maybe I’d just leave. In any case, I’m glad that your second trip to the store was better!

The grandma of the bully just sat there all la-di-da about it until I went and made him stop and was asking him what he was doing. Then she started paying attention, but you know what? She should've been paying attention before. Her kid was a jerk.<BR/><BR/>Ooh! Now I'm all mad again.
