I think that my Bloglines is broken it just told me that this post and the other train were brand new, but I am looking at the dates now and I see that they really aren't.

I am so confused?

You probably were wondering why I chose to comment on a post that's a month old. LOL!

Sam is an adorable train conductor all the same.

I just read your last post and think there's just no excuse for parents who do nothing when their kids are being selfish with toys. Sorry you had to deal with that.

It puts you in the weird position of either a) reprimanding kids you don't know whose parents are there b) sit by while your kids get bullied or c) leave.

None of these choices is fair to you. I've never had parents completely ignore their kids like that so not sure what I would have done, but maybe just tried to talk to the kids and say, "Can my son join you? He'd like to play too. Maybe we can all share." But loud enough for the parents to hopefully get a clue and intervene. Or maybe I'd just leave. In any case, I'm glad that your second trip to the store was better!

p.s. the photo is adorable. :)

What cute pictures! He reminds me of my oldest son. Justin was a train FREAK for about 4 1/2 years. Sadly, the train fetish has passed... I don't know WHEN the last time was that we watched Thomas! Am I a nerd that I miss that show? The British voices, the dull, strange stories, the people that talk but don't move...

The good old days.

Good gravy is he cute!

Don't worry about the incident, something sort of similar happened to Chicky and me at B and N some time ago (I know, weird coincidences all over the place) and she survived it. Although, in our case the other mother did intervene but still.. Our kids are tough. :)

I have no problem saying things to other children after my oldest (who is now eight but was about 4 then) got punched in the face by a big bully at the mall play area. The grandma of the bully just sat there all la-di-da about it until I went and made him stop and was asking him what he was doing. Then she started paying attention, but you know what? She should've been paying attention before. Her kid was a jerk.

Ooh! Now I'm all mad again.

That is so cute! I'm glad he was able to go back to play with the trains and there were no bullies and rude parents.
