So this week we made some cloud dough, which has a different consistency than playdoh. It’s lighter and more elastic so little pieces are not an issue. I read that and was thinking “But I always thought her name was Beth???”

My son is four and his name starts with an “L” but it sounds like “W” when he says it, it’s very cute.

I. HATE. PLAY DOH. That stuff ends up smashed into everything in our house. Except back into its jar!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My daughter loves to get out her plastic animals and make “tracks” in the playdough. Or roll them out and cut with cookie cutters.

Funtimes! I remember the stuff my mom used to make… she called it “salt-dough” and we were dang lucky if she made it for us. Mostly we were stuck using the vast quantities of oily smelling greygreen scultptors clay that she still had kicking around from her college days. “Oily” doesn’t really do justice to the smell… maybe “poisonously petroleumesque” starts to convey the stench… and yet, we used it, and we were GRATEFUL for it… Yeah… grateful.

I make play dough for Jack, while he is sleeping! I think that is the key to homemade playdough success!
Jack still has a hard time with the “J” sound, it always sounds like a “k”. So he calls himself “Kackie”!

Sam is 18 months and just really wasn’t interested in the play doh until the past few weeks. I still stay with him whenever he has it just in case. For example, yesterday we rolled it into a log and for some reason he really that made him really want to eat it. I think you can try it and see if he likes it. Just make sure you are supervising and don’t be surprised if he just doesn’t care about it yet.
