Thursday
I’m standing there, already 3 hours into my day and yet it is only 8:30am, wondering how I will make it through to 6:00pm when Hubby gets home. Robby’s sleep has plummeted for the past 3 days, leaving me exhausted and crabby. I don’t have any plans for us today and it is cold outside. It’s looking like a very long 8 hours and I just don’t know how we will all make it through this day, trapped inside and bored but without the energy to head out. As I take my first sip of coffee, I notice that the fussy noises Robby has been making for several minutes have stopped. I peak out to see what has caused him to quiet.
Robby is gazing at Sam, adoringly. Sam has brought Robby his winter hat and laid it next to him in his bouncy seat and is now leaning over Robby, playing with his cheeks and giving him kisses. Robby coos and Sam smiles. He is not doing this to get positive attention from me; it is not for show. He doesn’t even know I’m watching. They both smile at each other.
I should probably add that yesterday Sam screamed that he wanted Robby to “go back to work!”

Sweet pics. Hold onto those moments of tenderness for the mornings like today’s. Hope the day sped by faster than you foresaw…
Have you tried art projects with Sam yet? Like water colors or play doh? Might get messy, but it can keep them occupied for 30-60 minutes, and you can say “THIS! This is what we did today! See?!? See the fruits of our day???”
That is so sweet that they love each other so much! Great photos! Hope you made it thru the day okay.
cute!
Sometimes I wish our kids had ‘jobs’ to go to. I’d like Miss A to go back to work sometimes too.
They are adorable. I hope the day ended up being good!
They are soooo FreAKING adorable!
What precious pictures of your children! When mine were that age I had a full-time job outside of the home and I missed out on so many of these types of special moments. I am sure that some days you wonder how you will make it through, but believe me, they will be taller than you before you know it.
I have dedicated my website to helping families find ways to spend more special time together during a weekly or monthly family fun night. I believe that being a parent is the most important job we will ever have and it takes both quantity and quality time with those beautiful kids to make it work.
Thank you for sharing the pictures and I hope you get some much needed rest.
Just checking in on you…
Hope all is well and the no posting is just because you’re spending time with those adorable kids you have.
I love brother pictures!
