It was time for a new ‘do, wouldn’t ya say? Huge thanks to the wonderful and talented Jo-Lynne, writer of Musings of a Housewife and owner of DCR Design, for the perfect banner. She was fun to work with, patient with my nit pickiness, and quite speedy, I must say. And yes, I will miss my boys greeting me at the top every time I look at my site, but I thought it was about time that the banner have more connection to the blog name. Also, after having several people tell me that white on a black background is hard to read, I realized it was time to let go, despite the fact that I always liked how photos looked on the black (if yours still has a black background hit refresh on your computer). I hope this is easier on the eyes, since it’s not like I’m known for my really short posts around here.
We’re still tweaking with colors and so forth (we being the Hubby and I), so if you notice anything weird please let me know. I’m happy though. Ah, blogging. Blogging is fun, huh?

I LOVE it! The black background was hard to read; this is much easier on the eyes, and very cute.

ah! yay! i love it!!!! and i’m so glad you ditched the black. it made my eyes all twitchy, but i never wanted to say anything for fear of seeming snarky or something. congrats. looks FAB.

I may be one of the few, but reading white on black doesn’t bother me in the least.

First, I love the look. The white on black thing was killing me.
Second, it’s a tad creepy just how much that cartoon lady up there looks like the picture of you and your boys in your sidebar. Shut your blinds. There is obviously a cartoonist stalking you.
Okay, I still have a black background, but a new graphic. Weird. Last night when I was here it was white. I guess I need to refresh. I do like the white better and your new header looks great!

Like the new look. In the minority here but the white on black never bothered my eyes and I agree it makes photos look better. Creepy how much the header looks like the photo of you and the boys. Maybe I should get someone to give me a new look (both on the blog and in reality). Love your blog.

I like it! I didn’t have a problem with the old blog though, I only have a problem when someone uses really bright colors (red on anything other than white, bright pink on blue, stuff like that). I do like the simplicity of your new look!
