Quotes I wouldn’t want to forget
Sam enjoys making up names for dinosaurs. It’s probably because every time we tell him the name of a dinosaur it sounds like we’re making it up. The name he uses for the really BIG dinosaurs is “Brassosaurusranus!” said in a growly, loud voice.

The other morning when we were eating breakfast Sam pointed out that our friend, the chipmunk, was outside on the step. “That chipmunk is cute,” he said, “Does he eat chips?”

The other day we were were at an indoor play area. Sam was pretending to be a train and pushing a cart around the room very quickly. It was getting sort of crowded and so I was explaining to him that he needed to slow down because there were too many young babies around and I didn’t want him to accidentally run into someone and he had to be careful and blah blah blah. Eventually, when I saw that he was tuning out, I just stopped and said, “Sam, you need to puff with care.” He said, “Oh, ok!” And then he puffed with great care.

He said he wants to be a butterfly for Halloween.

We have a book called Sweet Dreams, Sam, which we love (we love all the “Sam” books by Yves Got). At the end of it the Sam character, who happens to be a bunny, says, Goodnight Mama. And the Mama responds, Sweet dreams my little Sam.
So now as we are turning out the light, Sam (my Sam) says, “Goodnight Mama.”
I say “Sweet dreams my little Sam.”
And then he says, “Goodnight my little Bef (Beth),” which he thinks is pretty funny, probably because it took me by such surprise the first time he said it.

I’ve also heard him call the big dinosaur a “Bashosaurusranus,” presumably because it bashes things around.
What a cutie. You definitely don’t want to forget the sayings. They change so fast!
I have a book called Kiss me Goodnight by Amy Hest. The little bear’s name is Sam and he is just adorable… you know, if you were looking for another book recommendation!
Cute. It doesn’t seem that long ago when you wondered when you’d ever get to hear him talk. Time goes by so fast.
Kids do say the cutest things.=)

All are precious, and undoubtedly you will be so grateful you’ve documented them.
The fact that he wants to be a butterfly just warms my heart.
I love the “Puff with care!” Sometimes you just need to come down to their level. Great hat you noticed that. I so often forget to work it.
