The Perfect Storm
Robby has been throwing up since Sunday night. I’d forgotten how very, very awful it is to see your child sick, especially when they are young enough that they don’t really understand.
19 loads of laundry later . . .
I feel like today is the big day. I’ll have to talk to the doctor to see if his current status warrants bringing him out in the cold to be seen. They will then determine if he needs to be taken to a hospital (I don’t think so, but you never know). I imagine today is when we’ll find out if anyone else has caught whatever it is he has, and Hubby has already been talking about a “weird stomach.” That didn’t stop him from heading out on a train to New York this morning though, so he is out of the picture for the day. Sam was restless last night too, in that off way that makes you think your child might be getting sick. Meanwhile, there is a severe weather alert for the area I think until tonight.
And we’re out of freaking apple juice.

Gatorade, Sprite( some left from Thanksgiving?), chicken stock for sodium, jello, but you probably really need Pedilyte. Hope no one else gets sick and all is better soon. Probably caught it at that expensive gym.
My little one had it last weekend, but luckily she had a quick recovery. Sure wish I could drop off an almost full box of pedialyte popcicles. I guess they go over better in warmer weather. Good luck today, hope he gets better soon.
Yuck. I hope that everyone else stays healthy and Robby is on the mend as I write this. I hope you don’t get (more) rundown and get sick too. Those are the times when it would be nice to clone yourself so you had someone to look after you!
Awww honey, that is just the WORST!
We’ve had those days (upon days) of a tablespoon of water every 15 minutes trying to keep our she-child hydrated when even water comes up…then when (if) it spreads…ugh.
Wishing you all well SOON!
OH NO. I hope that everything is better by now.
Hang in there.
Oh, Beth. I hope he has made a turn for the better. Hydrate that kid and do what you think is best.
Hugs.
19 loads of laundry! Oh, girl, may God’s grace be mighty upon you. jaybee4000 has good ideas for hydrating. Maybe a bit of Gingerale, too? Praying this passes quickly.
Everything will get better.

Uh-oh. You have my sincere sympathy, and so does Robby. Hoping for a speedy turnaround…
Sooooooo sorry. Call in a favor and ask a friend to go buy apple juice? Maybe? I know my kid won’t drink anything else when he’s sick. Good luck–I wish I could buy you apple juice and bring it over. (Only I wouldn’t even come in your door, sorry to say it, until the sick has passed!)
Hang in there, it can’t last forever.
19 loads of laundry??? I can’t seem to get through 2.
I had the stomach flu last month and luckily no one else got it. Good Luck!
Oh no! I hope that the rest of the family has stayed well and that your sanity has not fled. Stomach bugs are terrible. Stomach bugs in severe weather are worse. Praying that things get better.
Oh no. I’m sorry to hear all this. I hope Robby is feeling better and that no one else in the house gets sick. If Robby will drink it I find Gatorade and Pedialyte work best for Shorty. Hope all turns around soon.
