Good Night
Sam: “Mommy, I don’t like to sleep. I’m not sleepy.”
Sam begins to sit up
Mommy: “Yes you are, honey.”
Mommy lays him back down
Sam: “No I’m not. I’m not sleepy. You just think so. You just think so because that’s what you think. But I’m not. I’m telling the truth.”
Sam yawns
Sam: “I’m not sleepy.”
Mommy grins. Sam yawns again.
Sam: “I’m not sleepy.”
2 minutes of silence
Sam snores

Adorable! Enjoy the snores…so sweet.
I told Miss A once that yawns mean that you are tired. Now when she yawns in bed I say “Why are you yawning?” and she says reluctantly “Because I’m tired.”
Such a classic kid thing =)
Gotta love the logic. “You just think that because that’s what you think.” Too funny!!
Don’t you love it when you know your right! One time I used the old reverse psycology on Sydney who doesn’t take naps anymore, but one day she really needed too. After 15 min of laying in bed with her (of course I fell asleep) she woke me up to ask if the nap was over. I said, “Yes, just rest for 5 more min, OK.” Then she fell asleep.
Just one of the things I love about kids is their ability to fall asleep-
quickly,
in any position,
in any place,
Tee hee..once my son gets still it is OVER!
