Chanticleer Garden

The Feb/March issue of Organic Gardening featured a beautiful article on the best flowering trees. I noticed at the end of the piece that most of the photos for it had been taken at Chanticleer Garden, which happens to be in Wayne, Pennsylvania (not far!) and open to the public for half the week. So when my mom visited we decided we should definitely make the trip.

And it’s amazing. And gorgeous, with completely unexpected and beautiful, whimsical details that were fantastical to both boys as well as us three adults.

My disclaimer - None. We happily paid our five bucks for each adult and kids are free.

  1. What a gorgeous place. With the castle-y ruins, the forest, the bridge, and all the green, it looks like they could play knights and dragons for hours!

  2. Beautiful! We may have to check it out, as well.

  3. that is one of our favorite places in the world!!! i’m so glad you discovered it!!

  4. Looks like a great day - terrific photos too!

  5. SO beautiful. We use to live right up the road after we were married and shamefully never went, but we drive all the way to Chestnut Hill to go to the Morris Arboretum (totally whacky). We so need to go here.
