Late Nights and Dreams
As I put Sam to bed each night, I often ask him what he thinks he’ll dream about. Typically the answer is something like trains, cars, diggers, etc. Last night as he was drifting off I asked him what he thought it would be. He said, “Um…you.”
Then he kept me up from 3:00 to about 4:00am. And now he is still asleep and I am awake with his brother, drinking coffee. I wonder if he had this in mind last night and knew he had to throw in a little extra something for the sake of mommy’s sanity.
That is the dearest thing to say! Maybe he woke just to be with you!

My son always wants to meet me in his dreams. So we schedule exactly what we want to do Usually he wants to drive Daddy’s car. So everymorning I ask where it was he took me last night. He loves to use his imagination and comes up with some really funny locations to have taken me! I might have to post on this!!

My mom used to ask us 3 questions each night as she tucked us into bed. What was the saddest thing that happened to us that day, the happiest, and what one thing did we want to tell her?
I always told her that I loved her, because of the way her face would light up.
This is so sweet. Sometimes, when someone sleeps in, I too treasure the undivided attention I can give to the other.
Oh probably … don’t those little stinkers always have a game plan?
Hope that coffee sustains you for the day!! I do however think that is so cute that Sam was going to dream about you. Kaelen always says that he is going to dream of me and then usually comes up with a story in the morning. His bed time routine is to tell me that he will “miss me too much” while he is sleeping, so he will have to dream about me and to be careful not to let the bed bugs bite.
Sigh …. are kids just so dreamy?
I ask Viv every morning what she dreamed about.. usually lippy, make-up, playing with bubbles then if I am lucky she will say me.. but I think it is just so I don’t feel bad that lippy, make-up & bubbles rate higher than me.
