Lunches, Links, Holidays, and…Links
I got to go out to lunch yesterday with some local mom bloggers. The ladies behind the wonderful sites Elebelly, Occupation: Mommy, Project: Motherhood, and Raising Itty Bitty Bookworms had nice long chats about . . . what the heck did we talk about? All I know is we made it last as long as humanly possible. I tell you, when moms break free and escape, we’re gonna milk it for all it’s worth, right? I had two Blueberry Mojitos. Maybe that’s why I can’t remember what we talked about. Oh, and some food, of course, but that wasn’t very memorable.
Hopefully this week I’ll get to some posts that I’ve been longing to write about dealing with this clutter that seems to be suffocating, and how to really make a difference with donations this holiday season. I feel like we have so much we don’t really need that others could appreciate so much more, I just need to figure out how to get it to them.
But more on that later, for today I’m discussing something I often avoid over at the Philadelphia Moms Blog - it’s Beth’s confession time.
And for those of you who might be confused by the top post on that site, it is running. We are posting. But the official launch hasn’t happened because the writers are not all in place yet. So for those of you in the Philly area, there is still time to get in on that. Those of you who still need to sign your contract or return your phone call - do it! You will be responsible for writing two posts a month. You can so do that.

Blueberry mojitos rock.
That’s all.
Now I’m off to see what you often avoid.
I can’t imagine a blueberry mojito. But if blueberry coffee tastes good (which it does) the mojito is probably good too.
My husband doesn’t like blueberries, but I do. I might be able to drink the whole thing without having to share.
Heh.
And I responded to your comment about an Etsy shop over on my blog (in the comments to today’s post), but I’m not sure if my e-mail to you worked… silly comments sometimes…
Yum…Blueberry mojito!! I’m jealous of your lunch with the girls. I’m hoping I an make it to the party on the 17th to catch up with you all. I’m trying to get in on the Philly Mom Blog, but keep missing Jill. Hopefully I’ll connect soon!
Hi - Glad you ladies had fun! I just found out that my daughters’ school concert is the night of the get-to-gether on the 17th. I need to find out the exact time but I don’t know. .. So sad.
paperwork in, bio up, now I need to finish my post. BTW, a blueberry mojito sounds too good. head over to read your latest…
Ha! I am totally guilty of dragging out the rare moments of away time I get. Shoo, even a trip to the grocery store can turn into a 2 1/2 hour retreat on a Sunday afternoon. Now if I can just get the grocery store deli to start serving blueberry mojitos…
I thoroughly enjoyed (and could relate to!) your Philidelphia Moms Blog post!
I want to go out with mom bloggers. Bah! Why do you live so far away?
Blueberries in any form, in any thing, have antioxidant properties and are really very healthy. That’s my story.
I have a friend who has taken on a serious de-cluttering mission and who is working to simplify. She’s given a ton of stuff away through Freecycle and says it’s magnificent.
Salvation Army, Good will, Habitat for Humanity, Purple Heart ( that is who I used in the Philly area- they will come and pick the stuff up). There are lots of good places that can use most things that are still in pretty good shape. I also did kid clothes at consignment shops. Be sure to get a receipt for tax purposes
