Oh, The Insanity that is a 4 Year Old’s Birthday Party
If you’re looking for the heart-felt post about my first-born turning 4 you’ve come to the wrong place. You’re not gonna get it. At least not today. Today we are in full-on party-prep mode. I don’t even know how I’m blogging; I should finish painting the solar system poster for our “Pin the Earth In Its Orbit” game.
No. I’m not kidding. That’s what I was doing last night. Not watching the Office, but painting black poster board with neon paint that SO WAS NOT SHOWING UP despite the fact that it was NEON. Yeah, you can’t even see Uranus. Heheh . . . Sorry.
And, for the record, it is not wise to plan a night out the night before hosting your child’s party. Not. Wise.
But alas, I am forced to go and see THESE PEOPLE TONIGHT! Remember, my birthday gift from the Hubs? (And no, we aren’t going to a concert on the night of Sam’s birthday. That was earlier in the week. And don’t you worry; it was celebrated in full force. Full Freaking Force.)
So yeah, I gotta go shave my legs and blow up some silver balloons for the “Moon Room” we’re making.

Have a great time tomorrow! We will be thinking of you while we are in 2-year-old Sesame Street land!
So, so jealous about the Killers. Excited for you though.
Sounds like it’s going to be an awesome party. I can’t wait to see some pictures and I bet the cake is going to be AMAZING!
Oh. Sorry… neon paint is usually very translucent. I think you were thinking of fluorescent paint. Fluorescent tempra poster paint.
Sounds like such a fun birthday party! Looking forward to pictures.
Jenn
How was the concert? I just used my Shazam app on my iPhone and it was one of their songs. What is their best album in your opinion? Looking to download today!
