Christmas Quandary

Ok, when a neighbor gives you a big plate of Christmas cookies on a pretty nice Christmas plate covered in plastic wrap, do you return the plate? Or is that part of the gift?

I did truffles in little candy dishes and I intended for them to keep the dishes, but now that I’m on the receiving end I’m not so sure it’s clear . . .

    When giving, I always intend for the person to keep the dish. But when receiving, I always offer to give back the plate. They will let you know then! :)

    I woud offer it back. If they tell you it was part of the gift then you have have another opportunity to thank them for their thoughtfulness.
